Lincoln’s premier residential and commercial development One The Brayford, which is due for completion in Autumn this year, will feature 89 luxury apartments and three restaurant units located on Brayford Wharf, an area that has become central to Lincoln’s prosperity with its busy bars, restaurants and shops.
One The Brayford is the first residential development of its kind in Lincoln for over nine years and the apartments enable people to enjoy the benefits of city centre living and elevated views of the Brayford Pool and over the city to the south, and up to the Cathedral and Castle to the north.
It’s no surprise that over 60% of the apartments have already sold as a recent survey has shown that out of 2,000 respondents 61% wanted to live by the water in the future and 24% of those wanted to live in a modern or contemporary waterside home.
The popularity of these apartments illustrates the demand for luxury city centre living in Lincoln. This development is an alternative lifestyle choice available for single occupants and families alike.
Two people who jumped at the opportunity to buy one of these stylish apartments is married couple, Sim and Victoria Bellandini who were looking to downsize from their large four bed detached house in Doddington Village and to live closer to the local amenities that Lincoln has to offer.
Sim said: “Our large family house is far too big for my wife and I and we wanted a more luxurious living space and a change of scenery from the village lifestyle we are used to.
“We both have busy jobs and the upkeep of a large house is very time consuming. We were particularly interested in One The Brayford because of the stylish city centre living option it presented built to a high design spec.
“It’s also a massive benefit to have parking facilities with a city centre flat as you don’t often get that and parking can be costly in the city, One The Brayford offers private and secure parking facilities which is ideal for my wife’s car and my motorbike.”
Having run his own café in Lincoln for seven years called Caffe Portico, Sim wanted the convenience of living closer to work and the benefits of luxury accommodation.
Sim and his wife chose an open plan south facing apartment at One The Brayford with a large balcony which overlooks the Brayford Pool.
Each apartment takes inspiration from classic Art Deco style, with bold, stylish and timeless interior design featuring an elegant geometric print throughout.
Each apartment boasts a luxe interior fit-out, which is being delivered by LGG Projects, and state-of-the-art technological capability, including tech automation and entertainment systems.
Sim, 50, added: “We were very impressed by the show apartment and its interior design as it suited our minimalist taste. It felt luxurious and stylish with all the fixtures we require.
“I’m looking forward to being able to sit on our balcony and enjoy the views after a busy day at work.
“The apartment is also in a great location for both of us to travel to work and cuts out the longer journeys I was used to. We wanted a simpler life and the security that One The Brayford could offer, which means that we can simply go on holiday without any worries. This is a perfect solution for couples who are looking for a different lifestyle option with all of the comforts of a stylish home.
“We can’t wait to move in to our spacious apartment and to have three new restaurants on our doorstep, we’re delighted with everything this development has to offer.”
