First look at highly anticipated One The Brayford penthouses

The developer of Lincoln’s premier residential development One The Brayford has unveiled its penthouse show apartment now that the development is nearing completion.

Jackson & Jackson Developments has opened one of 22 penthouse apartments, which boast luxurious soft furnishings, open plan kitchen, dining and living areas as well as state-of-the-art technology features including a Google Nest smart controlled heating system.

Visitors to the two-bed penthouse apartment can expect to see striking interior design across the two-storey duplex, which has been referred to as a house in the sky due to its stunning views across the city and up to the Cathedral.

The fit-out has been delivered by Lincoln-based LGG Projects. Paul Jakuc, director at LGG Projects, said: “It’s an exciting time for us and the Jackson & Jackson Developments team as we prepare to welcome the first visitors to the penthouse show apartment.

“I anticipate that these penthouses will be extremely popular because of its contemporary fixtures and fittings, stunning interior design, as well as the breath-taking views of the city of Lincoln. We’re very proud to be working on this scheme and look forward to showing prospective buyers the high-end interiors LGG Projects are delivering.”

The 91.3m sq penthouse show apartment, which is being managed by local agent Pygott & Crone, also includes a generous balcony space, master bedroom with an en-suite and fitted wardrobe and TV units.

Craig Stones, from Pygott & Crone, said: “It’s no surprise that over 72% of the One The Brayford apartments have sold following the opening of the first show apartment earlier this year. We’re very pleased to now be launching the penthouse show apartment and expect the tremendous success the development has encountered so far to continue to grow over the next couple of months.”

The penthouse show apartment, which is on the sixth floor, is available for £330,000. Prices for the one, two and three bed apartments and two and three bed penthouse apartments, range from £125,000 to £500,000.

One The Brayford, which is being developed in partnership with Richardsons Capital LLP, is the conversion of the existing historic Mill House, which when complete in Autumn will enjoy elevated views of Brayford Pool and over the city to the south, and up to the Cathedral and Castle to the north.

Viewings for the penthouse show apartment are made by appointment only via the One The Brayford website www.onethebrayford.co.uk and will be available from 23rd October.

Lincoln developer reveals eagerly-awaited Bailgate Mount designs

Lincoln-based Jackson & Jackson Developments has revealed the modern and stylish design scheme and plans behind its latest residential development on Motherby Hill.

Bailgate Mount is a development of nine, three-bedroom luxury townhouses along the elevated street which leads up to the historic Bailgate area of the city.

The development, which is due for completion in February 2018, is being delivered by Jackson Living; a new residential brand under the Jackson & Jackson Developments umbrella.

Dominik Jackson, director of Jackson & Jackson Developments, reveals the eagerly-awaited details of the unique development. He said: “Bailgate Mount is a sleek and modern development; both the interior and exterior create a ‘wow’ factor and are very likely to turn heads.

“The design steps up the steeply sloping hillside and reflects the character of the original Victorian terrace that occupied the site until the 1960’s. The exterior design is a contemporary interpretation of the original terrace with design features that ensure no overlooking or overbearing issues with adjacent properties.

“The stepped design creates an interesting façade to the cobbled walkway at Motherby Hill, which provides pedestrians easy access to each house, making the homes sympathetic to the surrounding area.

“We worked with LK2 Architects on the architectural designs and we’re very pleased with the outcome which will be recognised for individuality and prestige.”

The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area will feature wooden walls and muted colour tones, as well as vaulted ceilings to create a feeling of space and airiness to in keep with the contemporary edge of the homes.

Dominik added: “I’m very happy with the overall interior design plans for Bailgate Mount and I think it will certainly appeal to young professionals in the area. The interiors have been carefully considered to take advantage of and highlight the space and high ceilings.

“We’re doing something very different to Lincoln’s usual offering but in keeping with current trends to offer a design that is innovative in spec, beautiful in design and precise in execution.

“We look forward to welcoming the first residents into these much-needed homes in April 2018 and are already in process of selling two of the properties.”

The new homes will range from £214,950 to £279,950 and will feature high spec fixtures and fittings and rear patio gardens.

The build programme, which is being delivered by local construction consultancy LGG Projects, is currently at ground works stage. The site has now been cleared and reduced to the levels required for the foundations and the drainage to be put in.
